This is the Many Feathers Paragliding School training/"bunny" hill near Libby, MT (Flathead/Kootenai region, ~2877 ft MSL), used for forward inflations and short training glides rather than ridge soaring. No published site guide gives a specific wind-direction arc; the paraglidingEarth orientation lists all 8 octants (N,NE,E,SE,S,SW,W,NW), which for a training hill simply means students launch facing into whatever light wind is present. Practically, the hill works in essentially any direction as long as wind is LIGHT and SMOOTH and the launch slope faces roughly into the breeze (a straight, no-crosswind setup is preferred). Ideal: light, steady wind ~2-8 mph; usable up to ~12 mph base for a training hill; avoid gusts above ~15 mph (above ~18-19 mph / 30 km/h inflation becomes dangerous and the wing can lift the pilot backward). Best flown early morning or evening for calm, laminar air; avoid mid-day thermal cycles, gusty/switching wind, and any tailwind or strong crossing component. Access is school/instruction-only (Many Feathers students), beginner P1/P2 level. Treat all numbers as inferred general training-hill guidance, not a published site spec — confirm conditions with the instructor on site.
