Top of the range for paragliding (any rating). Switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.

West-facing flat-cliff launch from a public-park parking lot above Lake Chatuge near Hiawassee (~3,300 ft). Flies on W to NW wind, best WNW. Advanced (P3/H4): the flat launch demands solid ground-handling with no slope to inflate on, and the glide to the LZ crosses open water, so stay conservative on wind strength and penetration. The launch is a busy tourist overlook - manage spectators. Contact Southern Para Pilots before flying.
