Intro mountain site above Vail (RMHPA), NE-to-E facing and flown on the morning drainage flow. Wind is SE at first light and swings toward NE/NNW through late morning — ridge-soarable before ~8am, light thermals and small XC later, then the prevailing west mixes down around noon and ends the day. Needs a solid forward launch in light wind. Serious hazards reaching the LZ: I-70, a highway, powerlines and a river with no bailouts. P2/H2 minimum (P3/H3 for midday thermals); USHPA+RMHPA membership, private property.
