Top of the range for paragliding (any rating). Switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
Coastal bluff soaring on the north tip of Marrowstone Island, facing open water toward Admiralty Inlet. It works on an onshore north-quadrant breeze (NW through NE), and being a soaring site rather than a thermal one the usable band is narrow: too light won't sustain, too strong risks blowback over the low bluff. Landing is tight with water on three sides, so mind the tides. Fort Flagler is a WA State Park that allows paragliding only (no hang gliding) and requires the annual state-parks registration form.
