East-facing bowl on Peavine Peak (~8,200 ft) north of Reno; the documented launch is 'Peavine SEast.' Works best in a NE-through-SE wind, with N and SSE as marginal edges; a small west slope can be soared in a W flow. Thin air and short, punchy thermal cycles — a 2024 report logged E/SE 7–9 mph gusting ~13 with rough launch cycles. Hazards: rocky terrain, lee rotor if the wind goes over the back, and antenna towers near the summit. Best at morning thermal start or evening glass-off; drive-up access. Confirm current free-flight access with a local pilot.
