Small dune-soaring site at the Koocanusa Sand Dunes near Eureka in far NW Montana — low relief on soft sand. Needs a steady west-through-north wind onto the dune face, roughly 10+ mph to stay up and best around 12–18; it gets sporty above the low 20s given the small dunes. Soft sand makes for forgiving launches and landings, suiting training and low-airtime soaring. The dunes are only accessible when reservoir levels are low, generally late March to late June.
