Expect burble right off launch and rotor behind the ridge, so don't top-land; midday is thermic and there's an evening gradient toward the valley. Arrive early afternoon and wait for it to come up - good for evening ridge soaring. P2/H2 with USHPA+UHGPGA membership; 4WD, chains in snow, and heavy mosquitoes near the river.
