Ceiling · Paragliding
≤ 19 mph base · gusts ≤ 23
Top of the range for paragliding (any rating). Switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
Coyote Launch faces northwest (glider park launch page) and is the sunrise ridge-soaring launch: almost every morning an 8-12 kt (9-14 mph) katabatic breeze drains down the valley from the north and rises up the NW flank (park weather page). The upper metal ramp is the north launch; in dominant strong north wind use Coyote instead (risingair). Arc widened 2026-09-18 from a guessed N-only 340-20 to NW-N 315-10, marginal 295-35, with the morning flow's speeds. Same big-air cautions as the main launch. 2026-07-01: split added so documented north days stop reading as outside-the-window.
