Top of the range for paragliding (any rating). Switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
A steep day-hike summit above Haines, not a developed site - people have hiked up to fly down, but there's no club guide or measured window. It's essentially an omnidirectional summit, so pick a face for the wind; the natural launch faces town and the inlet (E through S). Strong marine winds funnel up Lynn Canal and the Chilkat valleys, so expect gusty channeled flow and lee rotor. Snow lingers into early summer; it's remote with no retrieve, so fly conservatively.
