Wind direction

SSW (200°) → WSW (250°)

The wind must blow from within this arc. Direction is the same for both wings.

Ideal speed

8–15 mph

Ceiling · Paragliding

≤ 19 mph base · gusts ≤ 23

Top of the range for paragliding (any rating). Switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.

Popular drive-up slope-soaring hill near Lebanon, rated A+ and shared with hang gliders and R/C sailplanes. SW-facing, flown mainly in S to SW wind, working in both light ridge lift and winter/spring thermals; best late fall through spring, midday. Main hazard is heavy R/C glider traffic sharing launch and airspace, so stay vigilant. Gated seasonal access (roughly Nov 1 to May 31) via the club/landowner; join PASS / Cascade Paragliding Club and follow site etiquette. Forgiving enough for P2/H2 and up.
