Sky Ridge is a S/SW-facing launch run by Sun Valley Paragliders (local USHPA-affiliated club), just outside Hailey/Ketchum in the Wood River Valley. Marginal arc extends toward W (~260) and slightly past S (~160) per paraglidingEarth S/SW/W orientation; W winds become increasingly cross. Rating: P3 required (P2 acceptable with a member-led site intro). Renowned as a 'glorious glass-off site' - best flown in evening glass-off, especially autumn evenings. Launch ~6,800 ft MSL; LZ ~5,600 ft (about 1,200 ft vertical), needing roughly a 5.6:1 glide to reach the LZ from launch. Access by 4x4 or hike. Site contains private property pilots must respect; club has been improving road access and adding a weather station. Fly Sun Valley (commercial tandem operator) holds an exclusive tandem permit here.
