Top of the range for paragliding (any rating) — switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
Popular hike-in thermal/XC peak above Robie Creek and Lucky Peak Reservoir (~4,140 ft), about 17 miles from Boise and one of Idaho's most-flown launches. It faces roughly SW-W-NW and is thermal-driven — best on light-to-moderate wind with a smooth afternoon cycle. Strong west wind overpowers launch and kicks up lee rotor on the backside, and summer midday thermals can get punchy. Verify with local Idaho pilots. Wind numbers are conservative estimates, not a published guide.
