Top of the range for paragliding (any rating) — switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
Private club dune/bluff site (~400 ft) on Lake Michigan south of Frankfort, run by the Greenpoint Flyers Association since 1978. The PG launch is a dune swale facing roughly west and needs a steady onshore westerly; any east component blows over the back with rotor. The HG ramp juts over the bluff and usually needs wire/crew help — not self-launch friendly. Primary LZ is Elberta Beach about 1.5 mi north. USHPA-rated pilots only; day/month/year passes and an on-site campground.
