Green Point (Greenpoint Flyers Association, GPFA, est. 1978), private club site ~400 ft bluff/dune ridge south of Frankfort/Elberta MI on the Lake Michigan shore. PG launch is a dune swale facing roughly WEST (~270 deg); ideal arc centers on W (WSW-WNW), marginal/cross out to SW and NW per orientation hint. This is a coastal ridge/dune soaring site: a steady onshore westerly off Lake Michigan is what makes it work. HG ramp is a flat narrow ramp jutting over the bluff that produces strong wingtip lift and is NOT self-launch friendly (usually requires wire/crew help). Primary LZ is Elberta Beach ~1.5 mi north (almost always doable); narrow beach landings near the site as backup. ACCESS: privately owned club, pilots must be licensed (USHPA-rated) to fly; public may observe; lessons by appointment; day/month/yearly passes; campground with water, electricity, outhouse. HAZARDS: winds with east component blow over the back (downslope/rotor off the ridge - not flyable); too-strong onshore winds can overpower the bluff; narrow ramp and bluff-top landing add risk. Speed ranges inferred from typical Lake Michigan dune ridge soaring (no explicit club number values published); treat speeds as medium confidence.
