Top of the range for paragliding (any rating). Switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
NW-facing student training hill on the north side of Pine Mountain (~5,100 ft), about 26 mi east of Bend; a Desert Air Riders site. Look for N/NW/W surface wind, ideally 10-15 mph. Primarily an evening glass-off site (last couple hours before sunset) since high-desert midday thermals get rough. High density altitude means faster ground speed and longer runs. P2 with local sign-off recommended; coordinate through the Desert Air Riders group.
