Top of the range for paragliding (any rating). Switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
Alpine peak (12,625 ft) in the Sawatch near Twin Lakes and Independence Pass - a hike-and-fly / XC launch, not a developed club site. Western and southern faces plus north work; the NE and E are blocked, so pick the face into the wind. Strong alpine thermals, anabatic/katabatic flows, and lee rotor off adjacent ridges are the main concerns, with common afternoon overdevelopment and storms. Experienced mountain/XC pilots only; remote, with a long hike-out if you sink out.
