Flat-ground XC and record site (foot-launch and aerotow), famous for open-distance hang gliding world records. The draw is the strong, straight south-to-SSE flow off the Gulf that runs hundreds of miles north; pilots want SSE-S around 20 mph, which is strong for foot-launching, so it's expert-only with solid retrieve. The main danger is violent afternoon thunderstorm/cu-nim buildup. Summer season; launch mid-to-late morning and ride it into the evening glass-off.
