Top of the range for paragliding (any rating) — switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
West-facing training and soaring hill in Benicia on public county land (park at 800 Channing Circle). Flyable WSW through NNW (242-349), ideal straight-in west at 7-12 mph; a secondary east face works on winter east winds. Notorious for blowback - launch low until you know the day, and watch venturi off the sides. Hazards: a barbed-wire fence up the slope, rocks and brush, and fences/drainage in the LZ. P2 with a site intro, P3 encouraged.
