Top of the range for paragliding (any rating). Switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.

Bristol Mountain is a Rochester Area Flyers site, a slotted W-facing ridge/thermal launch on Stid Hill across from the ski area. It works SW through WNW, best WSW-W at a light ~6 mph; don't fly it over 12 mph or in gusts. The narrow valley throws rotor off the opposing ski-area ridge, trees line both sides of the slot, and the parking-lot LZ has trees, a road, and power lines and can switch direction midday. H3/P3 minimum (H2/P2 only with supervision), current USHPA + RAF membership and a site briefing required, no mini-wings; occasionally closed for hunting season.
