Faces roughly SW-W-NW and works on a SW-through-NW wind; thermic midday with valley wind building through the afternoon, so fly morning to early afternoon in light-to-moderate conditions. Expect rotor behind terrain and in any over-the-back wind. No published club numbers — treat directions and speeds as estimates and check with local Kernville pilots first. Intermediate-plus mountain site.
