Indian Creek Air Park (Nobility/Anna, TX, ~40 mi NE of Dallas) is a FLATLAND scooter-tow / stationary-winch site operated by Kite Enterprises — NOT a ridge or mountain launch. Because launching is by tow, the glider is towed directly into whatever the prevailing wind is, so the site works in essentially any wind direction (the ParaglidingEarth octant hint of N,NE,SE,S,SW,NW reflects this near-omnidirectional tolerance). The limiting factor is wind SPEED and air quality, not direction. Ideal is light, smooth wind ~3-12 mph; light winds early morning/late evening are best and most forgiving. Operations are postponed in rain or strong winds. Mid-day flying brings strong thermal lift and turbulence and is reserved for more experienced/rated pilots; gusty or cross/shifting winds make tow launches dangerous, so keep gust spread low (max gust ~18 mph). Elevation ~696 ft MSL, flat terrain — primary hazards are thermal turbulence, gusty/shifty surface winds affecting the tow, and tow-line/dolly procedure rather than ridge rotor. Beginners welcome via intro tow packages with instruction; foot-launch ridge soaring is not the mode here.
