Top of the range for paragliding (any rating) — switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
SSE-facing grassy slope on the ridge above Heavener Runestone Park, a Buffalo Mountain Flyers site. When open it flew only in smooth SE-to-S wind of 8 mph or less (5 mph if gusty). The club currently lists this SSE launch as CLOSED at the landowner's request, so it's off-limits without renegotiated permission. Access is steep over a rock formation with a clay patch that needs 4WD when wet, and the LZ is a cattle pasture with cows, tall grass, and a barb-wire fence.
