Standard procedure: launch to the south, then work around the ridge to the west once airborne. Ideal arc set S-SW (~180-247 deg); marginal/edge extends toward W (247-280) where it gets turbulent. HAZARD: the entire Front Range lies to the west, so a westerly wind creates substantial mechanical turbulence/rotor - keep west wind light.
