Beaver Mountain, Wyoming Range, Teton County, ~17 mi SSE / 45 min south of Jackson, WY (Bridger-Teton NF). West-facing hike-up/bench-up site; one of the most popular sites in the Jackson Hole area, flown since 1988-90. Works best on a WEST wind (orientation hint SW/W/NW confirmed by multiple pilot guides). Ideal arc centered on W (270), roughly WSW-WNW; SW and NW are marginal/cross edges. Regional Jackson Hole guidance: steady 5-15 mph straight up the mountain to launch safely; west wind comes in smooth across the Teton Valley/Idaho flats. With a strong west wind a ~600 ft hike puts you in position to bench/ridge-soar up 3,000+ ft to the summit. Best flown in the EVENING in smooth conditions (sunset Teton views; possible to climb to ~4,000 m / 13,000 ft on a good evening). Hazards: high-elevation launch (~6,965 ft MSL), strong west winds can over-develop / make it too strong; cross or backed winds (S/SW or N/NW) bring rotor and lee-side risk off this west face. No explicit single club degree-arc or gust limit published for Beaver specifically; gust ceiling estimated.
