Top of the range for paragliding (any rating) — switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
WSW-facing ridge-soaring and evening glass-off site just south of Jackson, managed by the Jackson Hole Free Flight Club. Ideal wind is from the WSW-W (about 240-300), roughly 8 mph and up to about 20. Watch the power lines along the base of the butte and venturi acceleration through the gaps to the north and south. Steep sidehill launch needing solid ground-handling; evenings are best. P2/H2 minimum, and the site is closed Dec 1 - Apr 30 for wildlife.
