Lake Erie shoreline cliff-soaring (ridge) site at Edgewater Park, Cleveland OH. Launch faces north over the lake, so it works on ONSHORE winds FROM the lake. Best/ideal directions: N, NNW, NE, ENE (the cliff line works the N/NE-facing arc, matching the N,NE orientation hint). Classic good day is a NE wind ~15-18 mph with a bit of thermal mixing. SW winds are explicitly BAD (offshore/leeside) - avoid. Winds described as smooth rather than gusty; coastal/cliff speeds run 15-18 mph while inland is only 8-10 mph. Ideal flyable band roughly 12-18 mph, usable up to ~20; not a high-wind site. ACCESS/RATING: effectively an experienced-pilot site - sources cite P-3 rating and REQUIRE a flight intro/sign-off from a local pilot before flying. Season: March-November, best May-August; ~50 good gliding days/year. Hazards: shoreline takeoff and landing are at different spots; wrong (offshore SW) wind makes it dangerous; standard lakeshore considerations (top-landing space, beach traffic, water on the lift side). Speed/gust figures are inferred from the 15-18 mph coastal range and the smooth-wind description.
