Kiona is the Tri-Cities club's (TC Freefly) N-facing ridge near Benton City, with four launches running east to west (PG, Dead Dog, Saddle, HG). The PG launch works on N to NE flow and is easy-to-moderate difficulty; the smoothest air is the glass-off a few hours before sunset. Watch for collapse risk if you get low in the ravine east of the spine, and mild over-the-back rotor. A 4x4 helps reach the PG launch, and landing is only at the Trailhead and Bailout LZs, the Anelare winery is off-limits. TC Freefly runs an on-site weather station.
