Top of the range for paragliding (any rating) — switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
High-altitude Wasatch mountain-thermal site (launch ~7,900 ft, ~3,200 ft over the LZ), managed by UHGPGA. Flyable in W through S wind. Strong midday thermals with rotor behind launch, so top-landing then is dangerous; best in the evening glass-off, and never launch in a morning tailwind. Wires and towers on the bench below launch, rocky steep slope with no tie-downs. P3/H3 plus CUASA and USHPA membership required; don't land the Junior High LZ during school hours (Mon-Fri 8-3) or the site can be lost.
