UHGPGA (Utah HG/PG Assoc) club site guide gives explicit flyable sector W-S (~180-270 deg, wind FROM), so ideal arc = S through SW to W. Launch drops off steeply to E, S, and W. Marginal/edge directions extend to SE (~135) and NW (~315) per the paraglidingEarth octant hint, but the club guide narrows usable to W-S. Ideal/max speeds shown are for paragliders (P3): ideal 6-8 mph, max base 10 mph, very low gust tolerance (~2 mph PG / 4 mph HG; listed 5 as rounded usable upper). Hang gliders (H3) run higher: ideal ~14 mph, max ~20 mph. Challenging HIGH-ALTITUDE mountain-thermal site (launch ~7,867-7,954 ft MSL, ~3,200 ft above LZ). Significant thermic turbulence midday; midday ROTOR behind launch - do NOT top-land then. Morning sun heats the backside producing tailwinds/downflow - never launch with a tailwind. Best window is EVENING GLASS-OFF. Hazards: transmission wires/towers on bench below launch; rocky 76% slope, no tie-downs. Access: National Forest land managed by Central Utah Air Sports Assoc (CUASA) - CUASA + USHPA membership required; P3/H3 rating (P2/H2 only under direct instructor supervision); 4WD or hike access. Junior High LZ unavailable Mon-Fri 0800-1500 (school hours) - landing there during school = loss of site access.
