Top of the range for paragliding (any rating) — switch wings up top to compare. Hang gliders hold roughly 10 mph more than paragliders.
Premier south-facing coastal training hill on the South Bluffs above Santa Barbara, flown on the smooth Pacific sea breeze. Mostly sledders and light soaring, with ridge work when the sea breeze builds. Local pilots want light meteo wind, well under 10 mph. An instructor must be present and the airspace window opened before anyone flies.
