Mid-Coast-Range site in Oregon (~3406 ft MSL) listed by the Cascade Paragliding Club. North-facing launch: works best in N/NW/NE flow (octants N, NE, NW per ParaglidingEarth). Pilot flight reports confirm a light NW day allowed a climb to ~3500 ft; a south wind component (behind launch) makes for poor XC and likely rotor/lee conditions, so avoid southerly flow. ACCESS WARNING: the Cascade Paragliding Club site guide currently lists Prairie Peak as CLOSED — confirm current status and any landowner/access restrictions with the club before flying. Coast-Range marine influence means wind can build quickly mid-afternoon; thermic + sea-breeze interaction possible. No explicit club speed numbers found, so speed ranges are inferred for a forested mid-coast launch (light-to-moderate ideal, overdevelopment/strong NW the main hazard).
